Rebel Cae is a comprehensive DBT Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) program designed to offer evidence-based, holistic and personalized mental healthcare to teenage girls and young women aged 10 - 22. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive and empowering environment where teen girls can embark on a journey of healing and growth.
We have designed Rebel Care to achieve higher recovery rates than the average intensive outpatient program.
We treat the most common mental healthcare conditions impacting teenage girls including Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Neurodivergent Disorders like Autism and ADHD, Self-Harm, Trauma, CPTSD and PTSD, Grief and Loss, Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder, Co-Occuring Chronic Illness and Mental Health Conditions, OCD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and more. Please reach out to our admissions team to learn more.
We currently only operate in Florida. If you're based in another state but need help, please do reach out anyway. We'll help you find a good program near you.
Most participants will participate in the program for 24 weeks - the standard length of treatment for comprehensive DBT. The first 8 weeks of the program are the most intensive, stepping down to less treatment over time within the program. During your preliminary evaluation, we can provide an estimate of the likely duration, considering factors such as the severity of your challenges and your historic response to therapy. We recognize that this is a significant time commitment. We’ll work with you and your school to make it as seamless, flexible and achievable as possible.
An IOP is a 8-12 week intensive mental health care program designed for folks who require therapy and care more than once a week. Rebel Care is also aligned to the structure of a comprehensive DBT program which makes it unique and effective than most generalized IOPs. Each week, Rebel Care offers:
We treat the most common mental healthcare conditions impacting teenage girls including the following.
Outpatient care typically consists of 1-3 hours of therapy per week. It's useful for individuals seeking ongoing support to improve their well-being. An IOP offers a more intensive level of support. It can be useful in two ways.
Please reach out and we can help you evaluate this. In general, an IOP can be an excellent next step in one of two situations.
This is a personal decision. Below are some factors one might want to consider. Research has demonstrated that both in-person and virtual IOPs are equally effective. So fear not, there is no right or wrong choice. Please reach out to our team and we can help you decide what is best for you.
Research studies have proven that virtual IOPs are as effective as in-person programs. They provide greater flexibility and eliminate the need to commute to the practice.

We are currently an out-of-network provider with most insurance companies. This means we haven't signed a formal agreement with insurance companies to set specific rates for our services. However, this doesn't limit your access to the program. Most insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that can be used to access our support. Here's what it means for you 1) Your insurance company is likely to reimburse you partially or even fully for the cost of our program, depending on your specific plan and benefits. 2) We'll work directly with your insurance company to help you understand your coverage and navigate the claims process. 3) We'll handle the billing directly with your insurance company. This means you only pay your share of the cost (often called the deductible or copay) at the time of service. You won't be out-of-pocket more than you owe.4) We offer flexible payment plans to make our program more accessible, regardless of your insurance coverage. Our priority is your well-being. Don't hesitate to schedule a free consultation to discuss your specific situation and insurance details. We'll be happy to answer your questions and develop the best plan to maximize your insurance coverage.
Cash payment is an option. Please reach out and we’ll do our best to provide the most affordable payment plan possible.
Rebel Care’s headquarters is located in Aventura, Florida. However, we currently see all of our patients virtually.
From Monday - Friday, group sessions will be from 7 AM - 9 PM. On Saturday and Sunday, group sessions will be from 10 AM - 5 PM. We'll adjust these timings as we learn what works best for participants.
Rebel Care doesn’t have a waiting list. We can enroll prospective participants within a few days provided they are eligible and complete their paperwork promptly.
We understand that life happens. You might get sick during the program or have connectivity issues. However if you miss several sessions, we’ll discuss potential options with both you and your parents. We could modify your program or transition you to a less intensive outpatient program. There are many ways to make recovery happen.
Absolutely. We want you to continue with your daily life whilst participating in our program. We intentionally schedule groups outside of core school hours to make that possible.

If it is not a crisis, we offer free 1:1 text support and the opportunity to schedule several shorter, ad-hoc therapy sessions with the therapist on staff. We can also consider providing you with a second individual therapy session if needed.

There are many ways to recover. If you realize during the program that you don’t want to participate, your care team will work with you and your family to explore alternatives like getting individual talk therapy twice per week and participating in different forms of somatic therapy until we can determine what works best.
Support doesn’t end once you graduate. Here's what we offer.
At Rebel Care, we deeply value the role of family in a teen's healing journey. To support this, we offer weekly family sessions where we provide understanding about your child's unique personality, diagnosis and ongoing care. Our aim is to guide the entire family in creating a supportive network that ensures long-term care for your teen's well-being. We warmly invite you to join us on this journey toward healing and growth together as a family.
We offer peeer support groups, assigning a dedicated case manager to guide you through every phase, granting access to your teen's individual and group therapists, and providing you with your own therapist if desired. As parents ourselves, we understand the heartache of watching your child grapple with mental health challenges while feeling unsure of how to best offer support.
The privacy and confidentiality of our patients is critical to us. Here’s how we protect them:
At Rebel, we believe in a collaborative care approach whilst respecting the privacy of our girls.
