Dr. Leigh Brosof and Kusum Chanrai are building Rebel Care to equip adolescent girls with the most proven, powerful and holistic tools available to thrive.
At UCSF, Dr. Leigh Brosof saw firsthand how DBT-A helped countless girls overcome depression, anxiety and self-harm more effectively than generalized therapy. When the pandemic hit, she saw how the transition to online made it easier for families to participate in programming. Witnessing the impact of this virtual program sparked a question: Could we make a holistic and transdiagnostic DBT-A program accessible to every girl who needed it?
We built a pilot program to test this hypothesis. It combined the power of DBT-A with essential topics like body confidence and self-compassion. The results were outstanding.
And thus, Rebel Care was born.
